Our Story
In 1984, owner Rick Ayres partnered with his Mother who had 25 plus years’ experience in the industry and embarked on a dream of owning their own business. They called the company A & A Canvas.
Rick started off part time for the first 6 years and made it his goal to learn as much as possible from his Mother. Then, in 1990, it was Rick's time to take over the reins of A & A Canvas. Rick's mother, even though she was retired, still helped out around the shop to further enhance Rick's skills and experience until her untimely passing.
Rick owned the business for 29 years making his customer’s dreams come true. He embraced the A & A Canvas family business heritage when his son, Justin, came on board in an Operations Role to learn, help and grow the family business.
The name of the company changed to Alliance MFG in 2005 to best reflect our company image of working and growing with our customers.
In April 2019 Rick's son, Justin Ayres proudly took over the family business. Continuing the tradition, Rick has stayed on to help around the shop and continue teaching Justin all he knows about the business.
